  3. Support Systems: Various support systems were put in place, including counseling services, support groups, and annual events like the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, which fosters a sense of unity and remembrance2.

  4. Educational Programs: The Memorial Museum offers educational programs to teach future generations about the impact of violence and the importance of peace and community support2.

Preventive Measures Against Terrorism

  1. Community Engagement: Engaging the community in preventive measures is essential. This includes fostering strong community-police relationships and encouraging residents to report suspicious activities3.

  2. Education and Awareness: Programs aimed at educating the public about the signs of radicalization and the importance of vigilance can help prevent acts of terrorism3.

  3. Intervention Strategies: Implementing intervention strategies similar to those used in counter-drug and counter-gang initiatives can be effective. These strategies focus on prevention, intervention, and disengagement efforts3.

  4. Collaboration with Agencies: Collaboration between local, state, and federal agencies is vital for a coordinated response to potential threats. This includes sharing intelligence and resources to prevent and respond to terrorism4.
